Adoptive Couples Retreat 2012!!!

Sooo stinkin' excited to announce that the dates for the adoptive couples retreat have been set!! March 30th & 31st! Same location as last year. The Hampton Inn and Suites in Orem UT. We have some great things in the works so stay tuned here, or to the Retreats blog here. To read about last years retreat, go here. Seriously it was a blast!! Contest time!

I know, I know, I have a lot of blogging to do. And I will, I promise. For now though I wanted to tell you about my new website and contest I am hosting. I have a new website for my photography business. You can check it out on Crowning Touch Photography. Now, for the fun part (although for me, having my own website is pretty darn fun!). About Us

Hi! Thanks for stopping by and getting to know more about us. Our names are Jacob and Sharon. We are members of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We were married 9 years ago in the Provo Temple in Provo Utah. Our daughter Tamara is 16 years old. And in July of 2010 we welcomed our newest daughter Emily, through the wonderful gift of adoption. As a family we love to explore, visit new places and learn new things (seriously, Sharon is a history buff). We enjoy movie nights, and game nights. We have a Crazy life, but it's a wonderful life, and we LOVE it!

Jacob works Full Time at a Salt Plant. He is also a student at the University of Utah where he is pursuing his Bachelors degree in Political Science. He is 1 semester away from graduating and we are waiting to hear if he has been accepted into the PhD program. He wants to be a college professor.

Sharon is a full time Stay at Home Mom and she LOVES it! She recently started back to school as well and is currently pursuing her Associates of Applied Science degree in Visual Art & Design with Photography Emphasis. Ultimately she hopes to be a photojournalist. She enjoys photography, cake decorating, and cardmaking among other things.

Tamara is a happy go lucky teenager who is in her Junior year of high school. She loves theatre and music. She loves hanging out with her friends but also loves family time. She is already starting to look at colleges and can't wait to go for her dreams.

Emily is our newest family member. We welcomed her to our family through the gift of adoption in July of 2010. After many long years of trying to expand our family, and hoping to adopt, we got the call we had been waiting for. But the call came from an unexpected person. Sharon's sister, who is adopted herself, asked us if we would be the parents of her unborn baby. We were honored to say yes. We now enjoy a very open adoption.

We love animals and have a cat. Tobi is her name and she is a gray and brown tabby. We adopted her from a shelter in June of 2010. We recently lost our beloved dog Sirius who after 7 years with us, died at almost 9 years of age of cancer. We miss him so much and don't really see ourselves getting another dog because how can you replace the perfect dog?

This is our life and our journey. It's crazy and wonderful!
