Sorry about this mornings short post. I literally, hit publish post and I was out the door to Paul's swearing in. He is now a proud member of the US Navy. We tried to talk him into Army, but he is a Navy man through and through. ;o)
Today is an overly emotional day. 6 years ago, almost to the day, my sweet hubby joined the US Army. (He joined November 5th, 2003). Today, is Jacob's last day on Active Duty. Today, is also the day that Jacob's youngest brother Paul took the oath for the US Navy. Watching him take the oath and swear in our family swelled with pride. As he was asked the question, are you sure that you want to take this oath today and he answered with a grin, "yes sir". I could feel his excitement. Watching him and his sweet wife as they held to eachother knowing that he would be leaving for 5 months, brought back the memories of when I said goodbye to my own husband. It's been an overly emotional day.
Paul, we are so very proud of you! We love you with all our hearts and we will take care of Erin while you're gone.
