About 5 months ago I came across a post on adoption voices and then again on mrs. r's blog about a couple named Que and Brittany who were just chosen for adoption. They were chosen through pass along cards. Seriously, their story is a testament to how pass-along cards, and getting the word out, that you are hoping to adopt, works. Their birth mom was given their cards twice! Read here to find out about their first meeting and about how "B" told them that she had chosen them (Grab a tissue for the chosen story, and for the rest of these). Reading the story of Liam's birth was beautiful enough, but seeing the pictures and the love and joy in their eyes was beyond words. (how cute is his name, and he is even cuter!) I sobbed and sobbed as I read Brittany's words describing placement day. You can just feel the love that she and Que have for "B". Que and Brittany have an amazing open adoption with "B". "B" even came over and carved pumpkins with them on Halloween. You should see Liam's costume! Que, Brittany, and "B" all share a love of Harry Potter, so they dressed Liam up as the baby Harry Potter, complete with the lightning shaped scar on his forehead and the letter to the Dursley's from Dumbledore.
If you can't tell, I love their adoption journey!
Thank you Brittany for letting me share your story. :)
